I really hate to be negative on mechanical issues as they can really
surprise you sometimes. It seems to me any competent shop would have already
suggested replacing the U-joints when they saw zerks missing and a dry
condition. Especially when they diagnosed bad pinion bearings. I too would
change the u-joints and test before pulling the rear apart. You are talking
lots of labor $ verses minimal labor $ to be sure.
An inexperienced new coach owner is ripe for the taking. Don't ask me how I
know this but it's true.
This shop may be the most honest or just the opposite but from what I have
read on this post so far I have a bad feeling. I hope I am wrong.

Mike; I totaly agree with you. If it were mine I would relace the u-
joints due to the no-lube issue first. Then go drive it and see if
you still have the vibration. As someone else said check the ride
height. I would not just go replacing things unless you have play in
the pinion. But defintely replace the u-joints.
