Rose,
On most RV's the drivers window is the only one with out an awning, or rain gutter.
But the window does open via a slide of some type.
What happened on mine, the glass seal on the outside, the slide track lost its seal.
Your window frame is made in two pieces, the inner ring has the screws to hold the window
in the opening/wall of the coach. Water will run in between the two pieces and down the
inside of the paneling on the wall.
If you go to a manufacturing operation of any coach, you will see the wall sits on
the floor, and not sealed to the floor.
So, to make it short, the water comes in the slide track in the window, around the
glass seal in the window, through the crack in the two piece frame, down the wall to the
floor, under the crack on the floor, and wet carpet.

Subject: [Diesel-RVs] Wet carpet - drivers floor when rains
:I seem to have a leak and water is soaking the carpet/floor on the wall
: to the drivers left. I have checked the window seals and before we went
: on vacation everything was dry. We put the rv in storage while we were
: on a cruise. Now I just checked the other day and the carpet is soaked
: again. Can anyone tell me how to get the wall panels off, since the
: "door panel" has all the switches in it?? We have a 2002 DSDP, no
: driver's side door. Please send any help!!
: TIA
