Really couldn't say since we haven't put any additives in our black
tank in many years. We use lots of water, test our toilet paper to make
sure it dissolves rapidly and back flush frequently. The natural
bacteria in the black tank take care of everything. The only holding
tank odors that we ever have problems with come from the gray tank when
the P-traps are empty.
