Rose,
I would highly recommend you take Chuck's advise and do some detective
work. I just finished going through the same problem you are experiencing
and I determined it is a process of elimination unless you are real lucky.
My front drivers side carpet under the drivers window starting getting
soaked. Same as your description. So here is the process I used.
Completely dried the front area, re-sealed all the windows in the coach with
silicone and cleaned all window drain areas. Watered down the coach, not the
problem. Resealed the entire roof seams, skylights, etc, checked again not
the problem. Lubed all the slide seals with conditioner, tested each
individual side (both on drivers side) and found the water was coming in
from the rear and running all the way forward. Ran a test with the rear
slide open and closed, discovered the outer trim piece on the side was
allowing water to enter as it ran down the side of the motor home and the
exit point was on the inside of the slide, not what I had expected.
Siliconed the trim all around the slide and the leak was gone. This whole
process took around two weeks as I had constantly dry out the inside after
every test.
So my point here is, you can find the leak but it may take some time but
don't give up and do all the easy places first. The solution was a five
dollar tube of silicone had I been able to find it in the beginning. I can
only imagine what it might have cost a have a dealer find it. I did have a
mobile RV repair guy give me an opinion and he wanted to start with
replacing the inter-seals on the windows.
Good luck hope this was helpful in some way,
