I have been using Rid-X for a couple years now.
I suspect that the claims of breaking down waste products are
meaningless in an RV waste tank that gets dumped frequently. When I
don't use it, the contents going into the stinky slinky look just like
the do when I use it.
I use because it is the cheapest effective tank deodorant that I have
found. The liquid version works much faster than the powdered.
"Odorlos" works a little better, but it is much more expensive. Right
now we are boondocking in the desert, and I anticipate that after a
couple weeks I will have to add Odorlos to the tank, but until then the
Rid-X is eliminating any odor.
