Yes, the dryer was replaced and Ester oil was used .
I don't have an evacuation pump , I last worked on AC seriously in 1985, fixing leaky ceramic seals on new Delco R4 equipped cars at LAX.......
I don't really know who / where to take this thing for proper evacuation and charging ~ it may well have been over charged .

Did you replace the drier when you refitted? If not, your desiccant might be perished. Also make sure your condenser fan is working.
A couple of precautions when handling a retrofit system: Do not use sealers. Dyes are OK. Do not use mineral or PAG oil, use ester oil only.
