A trip to a local parts house might yield a hose with some of the correct bends and ends. I have made special hoses from bypass hoses found in inventory there several times. Imagine trying to find heater hoses for a 1968 Citroen ID! It may take some trimming and joining to make one, but I cannot imagine an NOS hose from Germany being much better that what you already have. Take your old one in and match it up.O.K. ;

Resivoir after less than 100 miles, lots of careful lock to lock turns to make sure I'm circulating the fluid into every crevice of the steering box (Pic. #3) notice it's not very translucent anymore .
So, I still have more flushing to do before I swap out this weeping power steering pump .
On a happier note (?) as I was adjusting the engine's hot idle speed I noticed a drop of coolant on the bell housing behind the engine, running my hands on the single engine to firewall heater hose revealed a bump in the _underside_ of the hose, of course as soon as I touched it the bump burst and began leaking coolant merrily . now I know where all that darn coolant was going .
Of course, the only new factory German heater hose is in Germany , Tom at The M-B Classic Center is getting it for me, I'm off to look for a good used one to - morrow morning, I hope the rain has quit by then .
