Remember to clean the centrifuge first and adjust the valves by ear until the click as gaps are insufficient with the torsion bar valve springs and all .
Check the ful advance ignition timing @ 3,000RPM and set it dead nuts between the two hash marks .
Get a small disc typ rare earth magnet from Harbor Freight and put in on the drain plug....
Many far older than your CB450 (great bike BTW !)have made this trip ~ no need to run it wide open .
I rode a '67 Honda CL90 once of thrice, others have ridden all manner of old bikes, 305 Scramblers , Dreams, Benlys, on and on .
