My 1982 240D's trunk always gets water in the passenger side well, now everything in the truck is getting mildewed or beginning to rust 
.
On the other hand, my 1984 300CD has an 12MM rust HOLE I can see through at the right lower corner of the back light but never so much as a drop of water in the truck .
Damn this rain ! .
At least the Sierra Nevada's got 18 FEET of snow in the last two days, that's a great help as California steals pretty much all it's water from the melting snow pack there .
