Thats what I thought. While living in Oregon in the 70's I did not notice much in the way of rusty cars. Living in NE Washington we see cars from Montana, rusted out. Rust is caused by salt. Not water but in combination with salt it's a death sentence for steel cars. West Coast cars within a mile of the beach are most suspect. However most west coast cars are rust free. This is why used cars are cheaper on the West Coast than the East Coast. Lots of cars still running after many years. Everything rusts East of the Mississippi. So if you are in a di-icing area expect short life cycle of your steel vehicle. Water? Nate what are you thinking? Lawrence Rhodes
