I hear you Max.

The AC thing , any time you drive the car  use it ~ you can still use the heat , it's very important to operate the AC system often to keep the seals and compressor lubricated .

I LOVE the four speed automatic ! .

Yes, I agree, about sitting. But this car drove great last fall, parked it when it got cold, started it the other day when it ran for 10 seconds. I never used the pump till after it stopped, so if that's the problem it sucked air screwed in.  Car runs super good, maybe the best running car I've ever had, but I hardly even drive it. Last year I just started a new program(cant believe I did not think of this before), up here in the north country we get seasons and basically you live around the seasons. We have a short season of air conditioning. In my240 4-spd I have got the air to work pretty good but don't need it till around July tru September.  In the 240 auto no air, I tried, but its such a hassle keeping one air condition system working in these cars. So last year I starting driving the auto till I need the air. But I cant start driving it till Subaru season is over, which lasts tru March and mud season and break up. We must have about 10 seasons here. The auto is fun to drive, faster, and the trans almost shifts like a manual anyway without a clutch. Also has a sunroof. I can drive the 240's till about late October when it gets cold and then starts snowing, that's when Subie season starts. I might need chains on my 240 to get out tomorrow, hope not. Max
