sarrcho, I realized we didn't address your question about the fuel pipe retainer nuts, directly. #1 pipe is on the left.
Use the open end wrench, On #2,3,and 4, the wrench will be at angle.
The wrench end and or handle will rest on the nut to the left when starting to loosen. You will only get a short move before the wrench hits the nut to the right. On all of these, and at the injectors you will be flipping the wrench to
use the "off set" of the wrench. Many fractional turns. These nuts just need to be cracked loose, then use your fingers.
Take care not to ram into the nut on either side, especially when reinstalling.
I note in you photo a "ding" in the #1 nut. That probably was done at previous service. #1 was finger tight and the wrench on #2 was forced into it. So, watch the clearance. When you run into the adjacent nut it can "feel" like the nut you're on, is getting tight.
If you have a MB mechanic who can do this with you, watch, ask, and learn.
