[diesel_mercedes] Injector Pump Discharge Valves (elements)

So far I have not found any crush washers in any of these I've touched , maybe I'm talking about a different part .

Yes , I would LOVE for you to remove the 17MM nut and fuel pipe then the 15MM fitting and carefully removed the spring and then the little two piece thing under neath the spring ~ that's whatI'm fooling with and I need to know for sure how those two pieces are assembled before touching the IP again .

I've been googling it and have found many diagrams and photos but none of this part apart for viewing .

I'd really like to address this to - day if anyone can find a picture or take and post one up of the parts from an old I.P. .

TIA ,

-Nate

OK, the leak is gone. I had a thought (while sleeping) about that #1 line.
Mine leaked also after a previous cleaning, and when thinking about how to explain the wrench angles to "sarrcho", I realized the #1 line is easy the get
a better angle . This would give a different "feel" of torque. May be easy to over tighten. The rule of thumb in plumbing is "just enough to not leak",
you can tighten more but it's hard to recover from "to tight".

On the element "ring part". Is that the copper crush ring? Two layer, one
side wider? I can pull an element from a spare IP if you'd like.

Glad you mentioned the turbo boost. I don't have any w/turbo, so I haven't
had to consider it's roll in fuel delivery. I read about tweaking the wastegate
on a 617 for higher performance.

If you are confident your injectors are good, and the turbo is delivering, then wastegate and IP. "Just thinking out loud"
