Allllll-righty then .

Delete now and you'll not be bored by further antics of a fool .

I slept late and hit the freeway @ 08:30 , not a good idea in Central Los Angeles if you're running on 'E' with the low fuel lamp lit..... I got into the fast lane of the I-105 Freeway headed East and of course , soon encountered stop and go traffic , right about the time we all came to a standstill the engine began to sputter and cough , dies a couple times before I decided I'm not really up to pushing a 3,700 # vehicle across five lanes during rush hour......

After a moment there was a large gap in traffic behind me so I restarted the engine and Kamakazied sharply (kids , don't try this !)  across all the lanes and made it to the off ramp I was _parallel_ with , sputtered down it and discovered a nice raised median with good sun and no clouds , a gentle breeze.... (pic. # 1) .

I unloaded the trunk (if you have a Toddler look at one of these ' water table ' toys ~ Saturday is my Grand Daughter's third birthday , glad I'd emptied out the trunk as it's HUGE ) (Pic. #@)

When I went under the hood , the clear plastic fuel filter had what appeared to be _milk_ in it , I was shocked and removed the filter and blew it out , re installed it and added the two gallons of Diesel fuel I had in the trunk , discovering that  it's a very good thing I like to carry and use a clean cloth in the funnel to strain any in going fuel as my 40 year old steel gas can apparently needs serious cleaning and de rusting (Pics. 3 , 4 & 5) .

After I primed it using the manual primer pump I realized in my haste I'd forgotten to take a picture of the ' milk ' filled intake screen , this is how it looked with fresh Diesel fuel in it . (Pic. 6)

You can see how occluded it is ~ the red inner screen is hard to see through the milky fuel .

This milky stuff appears to have been emulsified water , it took me quite a while to get it all out of the clear plastic screen , in the end I had to fill it with Ether (starting fluid) , shake it a lot and then blow it out backwards using the tire air hose in a Gas Station before it had zero water residue in it .

Sometime during all this fun #'s 3 and 5 injectors began to weep , a little bit at first but enough to be able to see the injection pulses now and the back of the car is now wet with Diesel Fuel that runs down the side of the engine and drips off , blows into the slip stream...

It got 540 miles on one full tankful before it ran out .
