[diesel_mercedes] Alignment

A tie rod loose is an easy 30 second test , you cannot get accurate alignment work done with any perceptible play anywhere in the front end .

I used a 13MM 3/8" drive socket on a knuckle attached to a long extension , it was tricky but do able sans any special tools .

Remember when I asked if anyone was interested in a writeup with lots of details and photos while it was fresh in my mind ? .

That's why I asked , after a week or so the details get fuzzy until the next time  do a specific job , that's the nature of the beast .

The 13MM ATF nuts behind the brake booster are a serious PIA , some you have to turn one flat at a time so rather frustrating as well as time consuming but it really is do able at home and again : I feel DIY'ers can easily do a better job BECAUSE YOU CARE and are not fighting the clock .

Nate,

I'm guessing a tie-rod end is bad, though it could be the swaybar bushings too. I couldn't figure how to get to the drivers side bushing, without pulling the brake booster, as it's way too to tight in there.
Not tomorrow...
