Have never put startron in the tank yet, but this discussion has been very illuminating, so thinking about it. But I don't have any of the symptoms yet....my clear filter is not clogged ( at least a year old), never has been, and the fuel gauge works.
So seems like I should put in 8oz, as a preventive thing, while having a set of fuel filters handy in case they get clogged and need to be changed.
1984 300sd, 260k+ ...is burning/leaking oil, needs topping off of a quart or so each fill-up.
