Re the starter possibility . . . tap the starter and solenoid with a piece of pipe or rebar or some such a few times. Then try to start it. if the brushes in the starter or the contact disk inside the solenoid are failing this may give you a few more starts and a clue as to the culprit. If you hear a click when you turn the key the solenoid is probably "pulling in". But either the contact disk in the solenoid is not making reliable contact anymore or the brushes in the starter are worn. A few sharp raps with some long slender mass might jar things loose.

Start easiest (cheapest) to check and work up.
Did this just happen with no warning?
How old is your battery? A battery can fail at any time in its life.
Clean all connections and cable ends.

Hello again everyone. My 1965 190 D will not start. Battery is good. The dash lights up but it does not start. It clicks once and doesn't rev at all. Help!
