Unless it's brownish and cloudy , it should be fine .
I usually strain then filter it and re used it .
Old gasoline makes dandy weed killer so don't go spilling any on the lawn ! .
BTW : did you shake & tap the old fuel filter to see what kinda crud comes out it's inlet ? . you can tell a lot by what comes out .
