Contact Tom Hansen at The Mercedes Classic Center in Irvine , Ca. ~ they'll have the correct part at the right price , unlike your dealer or whomever .
You'll need to provide him the VIN to assure the correct part .
This is _not_ a junkyard part as some years Mercedes (like other German Manufacturers) used bio degradable plastics so a used one will be just as bad or fail quickly .

My indie says I should replace the wiring harness in my 1995 E300D. It took his shop 3+ hours to get my A/C working because of wiring issues. Admittedly, they also replaced the compressor and performed a complete A/C service in that time, but at least an extra hour or so went into chasing "phantom" faults. I.e., it would work fine in the bay, but fail during the test drive (3 times), had relay problems, some bare/broken/frayed wires, poor connections, etc. They finally got it stable after fixing the bad sections/ends of wires.
Can anyone recommend a good source for a replacement harness? Car turned 200K miles last week, so I'm sure it's time.
