Re: [diesel_mercedes] RE: Blower for a w123, anyone used the Uro brand for this?

Rob ;

The brushes are  cheap but if it turns stiffly even after cleaning and oiling the oilite bearings , it's junk ~ don't waste time and effort on it .

The W-123 blower is dead easy to change out , slide the R. seat back all the way and begin with the forward most screws that are harder to see , you'll have it done in 1/2 hour including the necessary cleanup of the plenums .

Thanks Brian.

It seems like it's a different blower.

My trip to the PAP didn't a good one, as there was only 1 300D in both of the Stanton/ Anaheim lots, and it looked pretty worn out too. The line to buy stuff was 30-40 people back at the Beach Blvd lot, as it's a half off weekend.

They may be able to be rebuilt, yet for how much? Grainger has brushes, yet it's hard to tell which one to get from the online catalog.
