I had this happen recently with my seldom driven 1961 190Db; problem was me.

Pull towards you firmly, then up.

My recently purchased '77 240d stick shift has no reverse. It appears the shifter will not go over far enough to let it shift into reverse.
Shifter moves freely into the forward gears, no trans noise.
I haven't had it on a lift yet. What should I look for?
