Nah.  Bad ALDA would give bad power/acceleration, but it would still idle just fine.  Bad idle = fuel delivery problems.

anybody here think it might be the alda? I don't know enough about it to be sure.

Also be sure the mechanicals on top of the valve cover are attached correctly. My car had a sluggish issue because I attached the levers backwards after a valve adjustment.
