Hose clamps also work.  and they are a lot easier to tension.

Yup, my Rubber donuts were shot, and I didn't have any spares, so until
I get some, the clothes hanger pieces will have to do. I have no idea
how old they were, as I didn't list in my service records. Maybe I'll
give Tom Hanson a call this week and get the encased chain donuts
