I replaced 2 of the bushings holding my air cleaner on Saturday on my 82 300CD Turbo. My third mounting point of the bracket had broken off some years ago but the piece still clung to the air cleaner body.
I had previously ordered a new mounting bracket for the job but gave up putting on the new bracket when I saw where the bracing bolt mounts underneath the triangular assemble. I mad a couple of tries with a socket and ratchet but decided I would ask this board what works on the removal of that bolt?
What have others used to get that bolt out and put on a new triangular mounting plate?
