Next time you do a valve adjust see what kind of slop you have, if any. Personally, mine are at 200K and 300K without a change. But, I am thinking that this should be in their futures just as a "long term maintenance" item. Like my rubber muffler donuts (or any other car part) that wears out, if I am going to keep the car for another 10 or 20 years, why not change the chain as part of the process.
