It is on the firewall behind and just to the left of the engine , one rod comes up to it from the accellerator pedal and rotates a rod that goes forward to the engine .
This means you've not yet popped apaert , cleaned and lubed all the pivot balls yet....
If the center of the plastic bushing is loose atall , it's bad ~ it's allowed to rotate but _not_ move up & down . to lube it's white plastic ball (originally white , now usually brown) , use Aerosol Silicone spray with the snorkel .
Keep at it , work *gently* here please .
Q. : did you recently do a valve adjustment or otherwise touch the rods before this stiff throttle began ? .
