My '85 300D came with the barely used tool kit.
The tool kit just had a series of similar sized pockets along the bottom
seam, which you fold over top and roll up.
Contents:
Lug wrench
Tube wrench
pliers
3-open end wrenches (11/13, 14/17, 17/19)
screwdriver with philips head only (maybe the flat head slid out under
the spare tire)

Re: [diesel_mercedes] MB tool kit
Yes, Nate and I each have multiple versions of the cloth toolkits. The one that I am asking about is for the 140 series, S-Klasse cars. It's a round, hard plastic case, designed to fit into the spare tire rim.
Today, we found a 'new' blower motor in an '82 SEL, in the p-a-part yard on Peck Rd. Nate then plugged it into my car in place of the original. The original was still turning freely, but the motor brushes are worn down to invisibility, and the fan wasn't blowing. As soon as Nate put in the new one, we had air flow again.
