Ethanol does use more dino than it replaces and it does drive food prices up. I am totally against it, and it would not survive were it not for government subsidies. However, WVO is another nut altogether. Both are biofuels, but I'm "for" one and "against" the other.
As to climate change, well, the data demonstrates that it is occurring. "Why," we can argue about, but "whether" is a settled question, according to everyone not a member in good standing of the Flat Earth Society. Not only does the data prove it, but a quick search for "glacier collapse" on youtube will give you a bunch of videos to satisfy anyone's need for anecdotal evidence. Why anyone would push back on calls to change our fuel supply to something greener is beyond me. Even if you don't subscribe to the theory that climate change exists, we should agree that we should change our fuel supply to something smarter if only to stop sending our money to the jerks who have all the oil.
