[diesel_mercedes] Squeeling alternator/waterpump belt tightening. Pop goes the weasel.

 

Tightened my belt on the 1980 300TD. Drove off and the alternator light went
on. Temp rising. 5 hours later I have the new belt put in. What a miserable
job with no manual. Every belt had to come off. With help I did find all the
adjusters & pivot bolts. I worked out afterward and every muscle in my body
complained. But at least now I know how to do it. Lawrence Rhodes...
