Ah, that's a good point...and maybe it just feels long because it's cold, and I'm in the car, obviously *waiting* to get going. My sense (based on reality or not) is that it takes a "long time" to get to 40c and then after that the temp rises quickly to regular operating temp. Of course now I want to time it...because I'm geeky that way :)

It's pretty steady around what would be the 90 mark, give or take. I understand that to be a little hot (I think I have an aux fan issue on my long, long list) but it only goes above that after about 30 mins on the highway...and then only a few degrees...stays well below 100 mark (at least for now). (more evidence for need for coolant flush)

We do get some very warm sunny winter days here, but I'll probably wait until spring and do the flush, thermostat, and I think I have one or two things to do that go with that.

I love this....thanks (to you and Mark) for this idea. I really want to learn how things work, because if I don't understand the basics, I'm not able to troubleshoot, etc. way cool!
