I sprayed the guts of my highbeam switch (combo switch or whatever they call it) with Radio Shack-style electronic cleaner (actually from Big Lots I think) and it stopped being weird.

Master cylinder was an easy job for me and cheap, too. Check autohausaz.com

A vac hose goes down to the trans. There is a widget down there that needs to be messed with, I mean adjusted. See:
