One time my boy and me drove our 240 automatic to Cali and back. We went the back way tru Eastern Washington, Idaho , Nevada, Eastern California, places where you can see for 100 miles in all directions. We got so tired of driving we drove with the spedo buried past 85 for what seemed like hours. The fuel dropped fast, real fast. I never checked it but it seemed like it was around 20mpg.
