Begin by replacing any fuel hoses that are either showing cracks or that show fractional size markings as there's almost certainly an air leak in the underhood plumbing .
Unless you've done so already , I'd go ahead and change them all , there's not a whole lot to the job , it's just messy , like hand priming .
Be sure to buy at least 12" more hose that you can possibly use ~ you'll be pleased to discover you don't run out right at the end of the job .
Take the time to hunt down the correct hose clamps too as they do make a big difference and they're only $1 each .
Expect to have to re - prime it then hold the engine at a high idle for 5 minutes after changing out the hoses as it takes time to self bleed out _all_ the air bubbles , I learned this the hard way after revving it a bit then leaving it to idle for long enough to wash my hand , then I made it to the corner before it stalled out from air bubbles reaching the injectors =8-^ .
