I guess we're out busy with our MBs, so not posting.

I was trying to coax my AC to work one more summer with a couple r134/sealer cans, yet the compressor seems to have exploded, after a month of being fine. The AC stopped being cold suddenly, and the compressor was making an awful noise. I just cut the belt, and will worry about later.

We forgot to replace the old scrader valves and I think that is where the juice leaked out. This summer we put in HC12-a. After all the stuff I had read about it being so much better than 134, I found out that in my car it is not. One thing tho is that a 6oz. can equals 17oz of R-12 and they cost me $4 a can, so that is a good thing. Anyway the AC worked good yesterday, hope the stuff stays in the system. max

Whats up? I'm currently disassembling an 85 300D that my daughter lost an argument with a garbage truck with.  Front clip is shot, parts are available in lower NY state.  I plan on keeping the engine & trans.  I only had it a short time before it's demise at 148,000 mi.  In the disassembly process I noticed a heavy amount of carbon build up in the intake manifold.  I've seen this before on an earlier car where the intake plugged to the point of keeping the engine from running.  I never did take the time to figure out the cause, any suggestions? email me or call 845-534-9092 for parts.
