I just purchased this 1987 124 300d last week.Am finding out all kinds of problems as I try to fix her up.
1. State insp flunked
a. Left head light high beam did not work. fixed that.
b. Left tail & break did not work. fixed that
c. Right rear break pad's needed replacing.when I started to fix the
pad problem I found that the caliper to be leaking.(ordered new)
When I replace the caliper I'll need to bleed the system (ABS)
I looked at the ABS and couldn't find where to relive the pressure
(need help how to bleed the breaks?)
D.When driving the car the speed shows about 8mph to fast.(checked
with my GPS}.When I was working on the breaks I noticed that the
left rear suspension had been replaced.Now I'm thinking that the
car has the wrong rear end in it(with the speedo not showing the
correct speed. How can I check the differential to see if it is
the wrong one.
I'm sure that there will be more issues but I would appreciate
