yesterday , it was *so* filthy it looked like it was painted black .
I tossed it into the solvent tank this morning and worked the grime
around a bit with the stiff brush then I used a solvent soaked rag to
wash it clean , no cracks but about 1/2 of it had light corrosion , too
nasty looking for my Diesel Coupe so I got a Brillo pad and took it
over tothe big shop sink where i wetted it down and proceeded to scrub
all the corrosion off , it looks almost new , not too shiny but bright
and clean looking ~ this is a tip to remember for alloy underhood pats
that need a bright but not mirrow finish , no swirls nor sanding marks .
Now to disassemble and clean out my new/old water seperator .
