In our early days of RVing, before retiring we did just that. Put the
rig in storage; get on a plane; go for a work break. Once we left the
coach in the Keys and drove the toad (a convertible) to Miami and
left it in the motel parking lot for a month with the doors unlocked.
We gave the security guard a $50 Tip and he had us parked right by
the door. We left it unlocked so someone would not ruin the top
getting in for only OEM items. It always worked because we found the
best places to store; paid dearly and never looked back, however we
never found a place to park the coach an leave it plugged in.
Still, it was a better idea than the next stage: Working in the coach
which for me was not a better idea.
