After my recent tune up the car runs *much* smoother yet it still vibrates enough to make the dashboard and glove box contents rattle and I can SEE the hood vibrating .

In 1981 & 1982 Mercedes added a rear transmission mount to the cross member and I remember many talking about it causing vibrations when mis adjusted .

I hope someone here has a how to or maybe can provide a link to some articles about this, I searched Peach Parts forums but cannot find this specific one .

Look at the new mount. If it is solid rubber, with no perforations around the rubber pillars like the old one, you have one of those crappy ones they are passing off as replacements. The original trans mount had two round bits of rubber that were pointed in a V shape downward, with obvious openings between. Cheap copies are solid.

My replacement vibrated the car so bad, I put the original one back on. Might as well have bolted the trans right to the cross member!
