AC & Biobor used, 423 miles, 22.5 MPG .
Low fuel lamp on @ 380 miles .
Very little stuff in the clear plastic intake screen .
Sunday I did a valve adjustment then washed and waxed the entire car ~ wow does it look nice again .
I fount two slightly tight valves on one cylinder and two slightly loose valves on another, brought them sharply into spec. and it runs smoother that it has since the rebuild .
I looked at the linkage to the vacuum valve on the injection pump, the one that controls the vacuum signal to the tranny's modulator, I think I see how to adjust it, I have some Motocycle cleaning and polishing to do before my birthday next weekend but I hope to get a vacuum gauge hooked up and do a driving vacuum test and adjustment soon .
IIRC the ideal is to reach -zero- vacuum to the tranny just as the accelerator pedal touches the floor .
I want it to upshift sooner as it's revving the engine too high for my liking, I can always prevent it from up shifting by giving it more throttle .
I was looking under the hood to day, nice and oil free in spite of not having washed the engine it quite some time .
I got the power steering pump's oil seal to - day, it's an original Mercedes part, I can hardly wait to get it installed and staunch the continual dripping .
The lip of the oil seal is hard as a rock, no wonder it drips .
