OK, after pulling the stalk and spraying it with electrical switch
cleaner it still was touchy with the high beam/ low beam flip, and
seemed to get hot to the touch. After I looked online for a new one,
seeing there were 3 brands: Uro, Vemo, Era, which I think might be all
the same thing re-boxed, I called Thom at the MB Classic Center and they
had one there on the shelf. It did cost more than the other, most likely
made in China ones, though that combo switch does many tasks and I
wanted the piece of mind that it would not burn up my dash sometime in
the future. Irvine is just down the road, so easy to stop by. For some
parts, the MB Classic Center has better deals than the online auto parts
places, and always MB.
