[diesel_mercedes] Springtime has Almost Sprung

 

I was wondering about batteries, I have two five year old ones.....


Keeping the engine properly maintained and sharply tuned has a lot to do with battery life as does using only the proper BOSCH branded voltage regulator .

Even in freezing temps all my Mercedes Diesels light off almost *instantly* .

I wait for the seat belt lamp to go out when it's actually freezing out .

I need to dip into the central locking on my 240D as there's a serious vacuum leak somewhere .

Sometime in the summer I will evaluate the fate of Sylvia (formerly owned by Barton in this group, and now sitting in my daughters back yard in Columbus with a blown engine, but a brand new vacuum pump).

There, that should keep me busy for a while.
