Hi Nate,
What a question; I googled it and yep, your project is on the up-and-up.
Reminds me of the old days in LA, say 1956-1960. Rumor was you could get a good tuck-and-roll job on your car in Tijuana; just be careful they don't use wadded up newspaper instead of batting.
Keep us posted. Bill in Oregon

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] Pool Noodle Seat Repair
I need links to this repair, including details of how to bind the noodles to the spring box and photos so I don't screw it up .
I found a perfect spring box for my '82 240D and am soon to replace the broken one then I'll have the seats recovered, hopefully someone here will know a reliable Auto Trim Shop in So. Cal. as all the old guys I know, have retired or died and I want ZERO FOAM used, just batting .
Don't be shy to respond here .
TIA, -Nate
