A noble endeavor, but do you really think it will help protect your rear end and that of the car's as well? If the driver behind you isn't paying attention to what's ahead of him, an extra light might not help. Of course it couldn't hurt. After having the front end of my car seriously rearranged by a driver who ran a red light while texting, I'm coming to the conclusion that the proliferation of electronic devices both hand held and on the dashboard puts everyone in greater danger.
