[diesel_mercedes] Brake Bleeding

You're looking at bleeder nipples with check valves in them ~ I have never used these, GM used them in the 1980's and IIRC they're the same metric threads as our Mercedes .

Autozone etc. sell them too .

What I was talking about is a plastic jug with a  hand pump & pressure gauge on it, and a cap you screw onto the brake fluid reservoir, pump up to 3 ~ 5 PSI (NO MORE !!!)  and this pressurizes the entire system so you can scrootch underneath the SAFELY JACKED UP , BLOCKED AND SUPPORTED CAR NOT ON DIRT
car and use a regular old bleeder bottle with rubber hose and six point box end wrench to easily bleed the whole system one wheel at a time .

They say to fill the tank with brake fluid, I don't as it's messy , I just bleed one or two wheels then stop and refill the car's reservoir, pump it up again and do the next one....

You can buy different caps and so use the same tool on pretty much any hydraulic brake system .

? How's the Wx. ?  I hear it already snowed in Utah .

SWMBO told me to close the bedroom window this morning so I guess Fall has arrived .

Looks like all it is , is a check valve. How does it work? Only $12 too. Do auto parts have these things? Max

Max ;

I bought a Motion Pro pressure bleeder and love it ~ I use it on close to everything now, a real time saver plus zero air or old fluid left behind......

Faster too .

You're supposed to change brake fluid every 24 months or if it turns black, this tool will save you serious $ and headaches .

Yes, more scars, it turns out that Chicks _don't_ dig scars, oh well .

My arms will now be as ugly as my face .

The in home P.T. fella came by to - day and watched me hobble on my cane about two blocks, says I'm doing well, keep pushing .

The Fall TT Run is Sat/Sun, I've booked a space and am wondering if I oughta push it and drive my Diesel Sports Coupe.......

As long as I don't crash or fall down it should be fine, right ? .

Maybe I'll just ride shotgun on Tom's 300SDL .

Just got my calipers back on today. Doing something I've never done before is hard for me. I tend to do everything wrong before I get it right. But I got them back together and now I have to wait for someone to stop by to help bleed the system. If they leak I will go get re-builds and chalk it up to experience. If they work, then maybe I'll try it again. While under the car I noticed the rubbers for my front end are bad. Its still tight but obviously its gonna need a re-build. Anyone know what this costs? What exactly gets replaced? Who does this kind of work on cars like ours?
Nate, your arm looks narly. Hope it heals well. Looks like your gonna have scars. Max
