"Hi all ;

Monday 6.26 I was out riding my Ural Moto below the speed limit and failed to notice some gravel/sand in a corner, rode off the highway into the mountain going 40MPH breaking my leg, wrist (really badly), some ribs and generally beating the crap out of my old already battered and broken body .

I survived, the Moto not so much : the forks broke on impact (I've never seen this before) and every millimeter of the bike is bent, dented, scratched or broken, she's a goner for sure .

Tuesday I had a five hour surgery on my left (predominant) wrist by two Neurosurgeons, my left leg/knee is in an immobilizer .

I hope to walk again by thanksgiving .   -Nate "
