Got so excited I decided to replace the blower in my wife's w123 300d. Bought it from Autohauz for $100+/- and let it sit around for a month because, well just because. But, today I crawled up under the dash and dropped the 34 year old blower and installed the brand new one from Thailand or Viet Nam or some other place. It runs quietly, blows hot air, and should last my lifetime. Also gave me an opportunity to slide the passenger seat back all the way so I could remove amazing things that my wife has accumulated during the last 2 or 3 years.
Next up - finish replacing her glow plugs in #2 and #5 cylinders which I never got around to doing. Then "maybe" I will pull the middle seat belt from the rear seat, and replace the passenger buckle part that is going south on me, even though I am actually going north in 3 weeks.
