Ps, I have to say I would not be doing this if I had to go to a ac shop and I have already invested enough money in the 240's ac system. Pretty much replaced everything I could find so now its down to re-charges every year or so and I figure its only the cost of the juice at this point. Max

Interesting. High on my list now, though I have actually only had ac for a few years compared to my years of driving. Its definitely work keeping it going on my 240, but when it works it does work pretty good. I guess if I lived in a place like Arizona I most likely would have a different opinion. I also have a 2008 Outback but since I have 2 240's I drive those in summer so the Subie just sits in a shed all summer. No I do not. This may be the year I fix my wifes; mine I can live without. I would say my A/C is down 70% of the time, but I rarely use it anyway so just don't get too excited about fixing it. The A/C's are always about #12 on my "to do lists"
