Low fuel lamp came on a ways from home @ 480 miles, I was out trying to find some W-123's in Junk Yards (SEVEN YARDS and only one had any) so I kept driving hoping to make it to the ProPel Biomass Diesel Station in Arcadia, Ca. .
I barely made it ~ the engine stalled as I got off the freeway, it was only one mile to the filling station where I removed the clear plastic intake screen and blew some fairly fine silty black stuff and one chunk .
566 miles, 27.4 MPG .
This is since I replaced the leaky fuel filler cap gasket, nary a drop leaked since then .
I'm *very* pleased to have gone 566 miles on one tank of fuel

.More once I get caught up and do the valve job / overhaul .
