I went to the movies and dinner with my Son last night, afterwards I stopped on the way home in a covered and well lit parking lot I know that has sealed Concrete floors (looks shiny) , laid to plastic bags under each front tire and put on a long sleeve shirt, looked under neath with a flashlight and 13MM socket & box end wrench , saw I'd set the tow to _out_ rather than in that last time I touched it, adjusted the toe in to close to zero in about two minutes total and drove off, enjoyed the better feeling of the steering and no more following cracks/edges on the freeway .
Placing the two plastic bags under each wheel allows the wheels to easily turn during the adjustment ~ no need to $pend the Lolly on expen$ve wheel plates .
It's back to drifting to the right and the time I drove it with excess toe in ruined both front tires (dammit) so now I have to buy two new tires before I try getting it Professionally aligned ~ my Son just found an old timey " BEAR " alignment shop with the octagonal building where you drive in over the alignment pit and they test drive the car before and after the alignment...
So, at the same time I located a set of four alloy disc typ wheels ~ these will allow me to retain the hu caps and give me better road holding , blah blah blah .
It's a good thing I don't need much $ for food and new clothes etcetera as this old car is beating the crap out of my budget .
Still cheaper than a new car payment and I prefer driving this to any newer vehicle I've ever driven .
