I sold my 300TD (wagon) for 4100 with 2500 down in San Francsco. After a few months of waiting for the rest of the money the disgruntled buyer blamed me for every problem he had with the car. It has a nice solid conversion. I drove it for years and got my money out of it. I sold mine on Craigslist. I advise getting the full amount out of it but I didn't have room and sold with just the down payment. I'd say your car is worth 2000 dollars with the conversion for an SD. Less for a w123 sedan. Grease is becoming less popular since it takes a mechanic to drive one these days. I got blamed for a rattling gear shifter when it was really the drive shaft tearing itself apart. Which took out the rear bearing in the transmission. That is on the buyer. Look for comparable vehicles in your area and add a bit for the conversion. Be aware the market is a buyers market. California cars are mostly rust free but they leak. Lawrence Rhodes
